U.S. security team from secret CIA annex: We were told to stand down in Benghazi
Three members of a U.S. security team in Libya during the Sept. 11, 2012 terror attack on the the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi say they were held back from immediately responding by a top CIA officer. The men were operating out of a secret CIA annex.
In an interview ahead of the release of a new book “13 Hours: The Inside Account of What Really Happened in Benghazi,” security contractors Kris Paronto, Mark Geist, and John Tiegen spoke publicly about the attack with Fox News. Four diplomats were killed that night, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stephens.
Mr. Paronto said the team was ready to move to the compound within five minutes of hearing news of the attack just after 9:30 p.m., but were held back by the top CIA officer, whom they only refer to as “Bob.”

Online posts show ISIS eyeing Mexican border, says law enforcement bulletin
"Social media chatter shows Islamic State militants are keenly aware of the porous U.S.-Mexico border, and are “expressing an increased interest” in crossing over to carry out a terrorist attack, according to a Texas law enforcement bulletin sent out this week.
“A review of ISIS social media messaging during the week ending August 26 shows that militants are expressing an increased interest in the notion that they could clandestinely infiltrate the southwest border of US, for terror attack,” warns the Texas Department of Public Safety "situational awareness" bulletin, obtained by FoxNews.com.
The three-page bulletin, entitled “ISIS Interest on the US Southwest Border” and dated Aug. 28 was released to law enforcement on Thursday.
“Social media account holders believed to be ISIS militants and propagandists have called for unspecified border operations, or they have sought to raise awareness that illegal entry through Mexico is a viable option,” states the law enforcement bulletin, which is not classified."

Tech and civil liberties groups are pushing back on a California
"kill switch" bill that they warn could be used to silence protests like
the ones seen this week in Ferguson, Mo.
Critics say a California
bill passed on Monday contains a dangerous carve-out that could give
law enforcement the power to shut down cellphones during emergency
situations, possibly including public demonstrations.
The
California bill is aimed at curbing cellphone theft by requiring all
smartphones sold in the state — home to 37 million people — to come
equipped with a feature that allows users to remotely wipe their
personal data and make the devices inoperable.It requires that the “kill switches” be turned on by default, though a user can opt out of using the tool.
If
signed by Gov. Jerry Brown (D), the bill will add to the features that
some companies already offer to let users disable their phones if
stolen.
But the bill “is not explicit about who can activate such a switch,” the Electronic Frontier Foundation said in a June letter opposing the bill.
“And
more critically, the solution will be available for others to exploit
as well, including malicious actors or law enforcement.”

Mexico Freaks Out Over National Guard Troops On Border: “No Circumstance Justifies This Measure”

The Mexican foreign ministry has launched a formal protest in response to Governor Rick Perry’s decision to send Texas National Guard Troops to the southern border.
According to a head-scratching statement released by Mexico, there is apparently no border security problem and the State of Texas has grossly overreacted.
Mexico “reiterates, in a firm and categorical way, its rejection of this measure,” read a statement from the foreign ministry.Governor Rick Perry called up 1,000 Texas National Guard Troops in an effort to curb the flow of illegal immigrants into the state. Several dozen troops began arriving in the Rio Grande Valley last week as part of the state’s Joint Counterdrug Task Force.
“No circumstance at all or change in border security exists that justifies this measure taken by the state.”
The troop deployment “does not contribute in any way to solving the immigration problem,” and is inconsistent with US-Mexico talks aimed at “building a modern, prosperous and safe border,” the statement read.
While Mexican officials may protest and propagandize the situation, the evidence is clear. There has been a significant change in the circumstances on our southern border in recent months and tens of thousands of migrants, including criminal drug cartel and gang members, have made their way into the United States. Moreover, the Mexican government itself is facilitating the mass migrations.

Medical staff warned: Keep your mouths shut about illegal immigrants or face arrest
In spite of the threat, several former camp workers broke their confidentiality agreements and shared exclusive details with me about the dangerous conditions at the camp. They said taxpayers deserve to know about the contagious diseases and the risks the children pose to Americans. I have agreed to not to disclose their identities because they fear retaliation and prosecution.
My sources say Americans should be very concerned about the secrecy of the government camps.“There were several of us who wanted to talk about the camps, but the agents made it clear we would be arrested,” a psychiatric counselor told me. “We were under orders not to say anything.”
The sources said workers were guarded by a security force from the Baptist Family & Children’s Services, which the Department of Health and Human Services hired to run the Lackland Camp.
The sources say security forces called themselves the “Brown Shirts.”
“It was a very submissive atmosphere,” the counselor said. “Once you stepped onto the grounds, you abided by their laws – the Brown Shirt laws.”
She said the workers were stripped of their cellphones and other communication devices. Anyone caught with a phone was immediately fired.
“Everyone was paranoid,” she said. “The children had more rights than the workers.”
She said children in the camp had measles, scabies, chicken pox and strep throat as well as mental and emotional issues.

U.S. Border Patrol agents in Texas have discovered four cases of the H1N1 flu strain among illegal immigrant children held at two detention centers in Brownsville in the past two days, National Border Patrol Council Vice President Chris Cabrera told Newsmax on Saturday.
Medical personnel at each of the centers, the Brownsville and Fort Brown Border Patrol stations, confirmed one case each on Friday and Saturday, he said. The minors are 10 to 12 years old.
"Everybody's who been in contact with them now is suspect that they have gotten it," Cabrera said in an interview. "That's what we're dealing with now."
As many as 120 people have been isolated at the two centers after being exposed to the minors, he said. Medical professionals at the detention centers screen illegals for lice, scabies, and chicken pox — but not everyone receives medical clearance, he said.
"We’ve had to quarantine the area and everybody who came in contact with them," he added. Border Patrol officials have also notified federal health officials of the situation — and agents will have to be vaccinated as a precaution.
"The flu can be dangerous, and swine flu even more so," he said. "We're still crowded. We're still overcrowded."
At least one other case of H1N1 flu has been confirmed at the Lackland Air Force Base detention center in San Antonio, according to KGBT-TV news.
Federals officials began housing illegal minors at Lackland in May. More than 1,800 minors have since passed through there. Other illegals are being housed at military bases in Oklahoma and California.
Republicans have expressed fears of rampant disease at the various Border Patrol detention centers and related facilities since huge numbers of illegals — particularly minors traveling alone — have flooded the U.S. border in recent months.
More than 52,000 unaccompanied children have been arrested entering the U.S. illegally since October, with many of them coming from Mexico and such Central American countries as Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador.

It’s official. U.S. sovereignty means absolutely nothing to the Federal government.
The Department of Homeland Security has told Congress in a report that a total of 525 armed Mexican police and soldiers illegally crossed the American border 152 times since 2004. They were confronted 81 times by Border Patrol and other law enforcement agencies and 131 Mexican cops and soldiers were detained.

Gil Kerlikowske, commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, said in a letter to Rep. Duncan Hunter that such instances known as “incursions” are “infrequent” but happen often enough that Mexico and the U.S. have created special liaison units to help negotiate the situations.
*Mr. Kerlikowske said there have been about 152 instances, involving a total of 525 armed Mexican military or law enforcement, who have been documented encroaching on the U.S. side of the border since Jan. 1, 2004. There were another 148 instanced of Mexican police or troops encroaching without arms.
Infrequent? Get that. Invasion by foreign troops nearly once a month is infrequent? Seriously?
Of course all of these police and troops who violated our border were released within a short time. But the same cannot be said for Afghanistan combat veteran U.S. Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi, who is being held in a Mexican jail for having weapons in his car that are legal in the U.S. but illegal in Mexico.
Tahmooressi, who was in California for the first time, got lost on the way back to San Diego and took a wrong turn into an official port of entry into Mexico where he was stopped and detained.
Neither Obama nor his Sec. of State Kerry have made a single public statement calling for his release, despite releasing 5 Taliban terrorists for a single U.S. Army deserter, and (in 2009) a vicious terrorist who is now turning Iraq upside down with horrific violence.

Last month, we reported on an incursion by Mexican troops in Arizona, who held U.S. agents at gunpoint before being allowed to retreat back into Mexico. Many experts believe that elements of the Mexican army are openly assisting the drug cartels along their smuggling routes into the U.S.
Now comes a new shocking report of dozens of invasions across the border by Mexican troops, who have shot Americans and even landed helicopters on ranchers’ land and held them at gunpoint.
So what is the Obama Administration’s response?
Last month Top Right News asked US Customs and Border Protection Commissioner R. Gil Kerlikowske exactly that. His answer?
Kerlikowske admits that the intruders were “confirmed members of the Mexican military” but he asserts that U.S. border officials determined that no further action was necessary involving the matter.
NO FURTHER ACTION necessary….after an invasion?
Like a loyal Obama lapdog Kerlikowske claims military incursions from Mexico are infrequent though he was apparently forced to admit that there were 23 such incidents in the Tucson and Yuma sectors of Arizona since 2010, including three this fiscal year alone.
The Mexican Army is providing cover and escorts for the cartels, under a Pieto administration which has promised to “end” the “bloody war” with those cartels.
So where is Obama? MIA, as with Ukraine, Iran, China and on and on. Weakness is exploited, and it will only get worse.

The samples were to be used at lower security labs researching new ways to detect the germs in environmental samples. The higher security lab used a procedure that did not completely inactivate the bacteria.Workers in three labs who later came into contact with these potentially infectious samples were not wearing adequate protective gear because they believed the samples had been inactivated. Procedures in two of the labs may have spread anthrax spores in the air.

Customs and Border Protection agents are quitting the agency in protest of the practice of releasing minors from detention known to be gang members, a South Texas news outlet reports.
Regardless of whether the minors are inked with gang-affiliated tattoos, and regardless of whether they admit to agents that they are actual gang members, so long as they have no US criminal record, CBP agents are being forced to release them onto the streets of America, a Border Patrol union representative says.“They are confirmed either by tattoos or by self admission,” the vice president of the National Border Patrol Council Local 3307in the Rio Grande Valley, Chris Cabrera, told KRGV. “But since they have no criminal record in the United States, and they happen to be minors, they’re reunited with their family in the U.S.”
Many of the gang members, as Infowars exposed, are also being fed, housed and provided bus tickets and vouchers to other parts of the country by the very same agency.
Cabrera says the practice of releasing gang members, in addition to being unable to adequately deal with the overwhelming flood of immigrants crossing into the Rio Grande Valley, is testing the morale of agents, many of whom are “already looking for other jobs,” according to KRGV.
“We all know that if you arrest and release, then the arrest is meaningless,” Cabrera said, echoing sentiments expressed by an ICE agent earlier in the week to Infowars.
“We can put as many people as we want on the border, but if we’re gonna catch them, hook them up and then release them, then what good is it gonna do?” the ICE agent, whose name was withheld to protect his identity, told us.
Some of the minors tell agents they’re fleeing their home countries to escape the out-of-control violence there. Cabrera notes it is difficult to discern whether the minors are truthful, but says he believes many of them have been coached.
“You ask them their name and where they’re from, they say that there is violence in my home country and they’ll kill me if you return me,” Cabrera stated. “I do believe there is violence in their home country, but I also believe that a lot of them have been coached.”
Cabrera also admits that a number of gang members have been released in South Texas. “We’ve seen a few. Not too many, but we’ve seen a few in the Rio Grande Valley,” he says.
Previously, Cabrera had told the National Review agents were encountering Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) members, a violent gang spanning from Central America up through Canada, whose initiation rituals include committing violent acts against innocents, including rape and even murder.
As we reported last week, agents are perturbed that the Obama administration is, in effect, granting “de facto amnesty,” with one agent writing to Infowars, stating that many of those escaping detention “are convicted felons, aliens from special interest countries, and other high risk individuals.”
“The President and the Secretary of Homeland Security will ignore this issue as long as possible in order to let as many illegal aliens gain entry into the United States,” the agent wrote in a letter to us.
Other former Border Patrol agents have also accused the Obama administration of deliberately aiding the invasion of illegal immigrants.
“This is not a humanitarian crisis. It is a predictable, orchestrated and contrived assault on the compassionate side of Americans by her political leaders that knowingly puts minor illegal alien children at risk for purely political purposes,” the National Association of Former Border Patrol Officers said in a statement earlier this month.

Boxer, Feinstein Introduce Gun Confiscation Bill
In the wake of the recent shooting in the Isla Vista community near Santa Barbara, CA, U.S. Senators Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein introduced “The Pause for Safety Act.”
This is nothing short of a gun confiscation bill. What it basically does is allow anyone at any time to seek a “firearms restraining order” against anyone else, which would not only prevent them from purchasing a gun, but would also allow law enforcement to confiscate whatever guns they might have.

Army Removes the Commander of Fort Bragg's Hospital Following Patient Deaths
"Col. Steven J. Brewster was replaced as commander of the Womack Army Medical Center on Tuesday, after recent patient deaths and issues with surgical-infection control at the facility. The Fort Bragg medical center is one of about 40 across the nation that serves active duty members of the military and their families. In a statement issued to the New York Times, the Army said that “senior Army medical leaders have lost trust and confidence" in Brewster. The dismissal comes amidst an ongoing scandal involving medical care in the Veteran Affairs department.
In the past 10 days, two patients in their twenties have died unexpectedly after being treated at Womack. A Joint Commission review required for the facility to keep its accreditation found that it had "higher-than-expected rate of surgical complications from January 2010 to July 2013," the Times wrote, possibly due to problems with the methods used to control infections in surgical facilities. "
